Algernon Tennyson, the executive director of Awaken International Ministries Foundation, is a charismatic and passionate evangelist with a heart for reaching the lost and encouraging the saints in the good fight of faith.

His unique speaking style captures the full attention of any audience while imparting biblical wisdom on the many issues facing our society today. From churches, various youth events, Christian schools, men's retreats, human trafficking seminars, to national organizations on university campuses, he has spoken nationwide for over 32 years, successfully reaching across all denominational, cultural, and ethnic lines. Algernon truly believes in the urgency of sharing the Good News of the saving grace of Jesus Christ and that this gospel changes everything!

Algernon has a radical personal testimony on how Jesus Christ saved his soul and forever changed his life.

As a young man excelling as an athlete, his life's purpose changed when he heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After serving in the US Navy, Algernon has pursued God's call to speak boldly and passionately about Jesus Christ's transforming grace to all who would believe. This testimony, along with his gift of evangelism, has enabled him to reach youth and adults of all ages in a powerful and effective way.

In addition to his nationwide reach, Algernon continues to travel internationally, lead missions, assist in planting churches, and equip young adults on evangelistic and apologetic issues. Algernon has also been engaged in the fight against human sex trafficking for nearly 32 years and remains committed to fighting this epidemic.

Born and raised in Georgia, Algernon, along with his wife and two sons, currently live in the metro Atlanta area.
